Affinity Group of: The African American Development Officers Network (AADO)
As a member of a Volunteer Committee, you can play a powerful role in shaping the future of Men of Color in Development. From brainstorming programming ideas to helping us grow our base of support, you will have the unique opportunity to develop your professional network and share your skills to advance the profession as well as acquire new practices from your colleagues and be a fundamental contributing part of the group.
The Social Committee exists to foster opportunities for social engagement in person or virtually. To that extent, the committee will organize regional gatherings, virtual happy hours, and other opportunities for the MOCID membership to build authentic relationships, something that is critical to advancing our goal of developing minority candidates for advancement careers.

The Marketing and Communications Committee promotes Men of Color in Development opportunities to learn, connect, and grow; shares resources with our members; and enhances the visibility of the group. The committee coordinates and provides consistent and comprehensive internal and external communications about the group through the organization's website, communication channels, and electronic communications.

The Networking Committee meets via zoom on an as-needed basis to discuss and plan events/get-togethers. The mission of the Networking Committee is to unite MOCID members in a fun, healthy space.

The Mentoring Committee is charged with encouraging, developing, and be a sounding board for the next group of Men of Color Development Professionals. We seek to build authentic mentee/mentor relationships. Our mission is to provide a safe and communal space to have purposeful discussions.

The Professional Development Committee is responsible for the oversight of professional development opportunities for the Men of Color in Development members, such as; building out programs that allow members to explore perspectives and engage in authentic educational & professional development activities.
